The new Gaerne SG12 has been two years in the making and is reflected in a good quality motocross boot. Starting at the top the very stretchy gaiter is made of a new breathable fabric called Acronos and should keep all the dirt, water and debris outside the boot where it belongs.
The new slimmer toe area has been designed for an improved feel on the controls and is wrapped in a new plastic material making the boot much lighter. The toe cap has been reinforced and redesigned to create a new tougher look
At the front the shin plate is a new thermoplastic, shaped for a perfect fit and the removal of three screws will allow the boot to open wider to accommodate a knee brace or bigger leg. At the rear the heel cup is designed to absorb any compression from behind and also sports the new “G” logo.
Four lightweight and adjustable alloy buckles keep the boot firmly in place on the leg and make it quick and easy to get the boot on and off.
The grip guard on the boot rather than the usual leather is made from an all new rubber, giving good grip on the bike whilst still giving good protection from the heat off the exhaust.
